SERVICE & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

This is a list of just some of the ways you can serve God through your local church.  Your gifts are needed and we ask that you find where you belong and use your gifts for God's honor and glory.  You can also send us an e-form to volunteer - click here.

Sunday Service Ministries
Volunteers make Sunday worship possible at Faith Church.  They serve as ushers, greeters, counters, and manage our sound and radio recordings each week.  If you are interested in becoming part of our Sunday service team, please contact your deacons.

Faith Explored Outreach Ministries
Annually, we hold Faith Explored, a time for visitors, seekers, and members of our community to come together to learn more about the Christian faith and ask burning questions in a friendly and secure environment.  We will need people to help as greeters, planners, food servers, small group coordinators, and possibly even food cooks.  Please consider this and contact Tom Harr to help out.

Children's Ministries
Are you interested in furthering God's Kingdom by investing in the future of the next generation of believers and the future disciples of God's church?  We have teaching and helping opportunities available.

Nursery Service - contact our scheduling coordinator Rhiannon Barlow
Jr. Church Teachers - contact Laura Koslowsky
Mid-week Pioneer Clubs - contact someone from the Pioneer Club Leadership Team
Summer VBS teachers, crew leaders, and helpers - contact our program coordinators, Christie Negley or Susan Sims
Teen helpers (if you are a teen and want to get involved in service at your church) - contact Kevin Koslowsky
Youth Group Volunteers - contact Kevin Koslowsky
Help with Movie Nights & Community Events (Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Fest, etc.) - contact Tom Harr

Music Ministries
Songs lift our spirits, aid in worship, provide an emotional connection to the words we sing and hear, and become an outward expression of sincere praise to the Almighty God.  If you are musically inclined or simply want to help out around the edges, there are opportunities for you.  If you are interested in any of these ways you can serve, please contact the church office.  If you'd like to know a little more about our music ministry, click here.

Communications Ministry
It is important that we keep our congregation and community well informed about what is going on, what is coming up, how people can help, and programs available within the church and community.  The Communications Ministry publishes a quarterly eNewsletter, sends out periodic email reminders, manages the church brochures and flyers, and maintains the website content and online calendar.  If you are a good writer, editor, typesetter, or website administrator, you may be able to help.  NEW - We are looking for people with video recording and editing skills.  Please contact Brent De Leo.

Mercy Ministry
One of important things we do as a church is show God's love to those around us.  In a church of any size, there are always those that are going through some tough patch in life and need a helping hand.  We even work with local agencies to identify people needing assistance in our communities so that we, as a church, can extend a hand of help and show the love of Jesus.  There are opportunities for making/taking meals to those in need, visiting shut-ins, providing transportation to/from church, helping with cleaning or yard work for those unable, or babysitting/childcare for those with special circumstances.  Please contact one of your deacons or deaconesses.

Hospitality and Fellowship Ministries
Christianity is not a weekend event, or just about showing up for a few activities.  It is about community, fellowship, bonding, accountability, and being a family in Christ.  If you would like to open your home for a Bible study, fellowship dinner, provide baked goods for church events, setup/clean up for fellowship events, coordinate hospitality in the gathering space, or be a welcome desk attendant, please contact one of your deacons or deaconesses.

Office Administration
There are endless opportunities to help out with copying, collating, writing, editing, running errands, or helping with computer hardware/software needs.  If you are interested, please contact the church office at office@faithwilmington.com.

Other
If you have other skills to share or aren't sure where your skills can be used, but you are interested in serving God in tangible ways within the church, please contact the deacons, the office, or one of the pastors.
