SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR ADULTS  (click here for Children Sunday School)

Studying God's word is incredibly important.  Our goal is that each of you find opportunities each day to open God's word.  Adult Bible School is there to help provide an in-depth study with others in a safe setting where you can ask questions and seek answers.  The class offerings change each quarter, so check back often to see what courses are coming up next.  Adult Bible School meets each Sunday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:20 AM.

Fall Quarter

December 4, 2011 - March 4, 2012
(All adult classes are on the second floor of the Administration Building)

Faith Journey: Understanding who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means to follow him is a good start. But it leaves a lot of unanswered questions about how we actually live as a Christian. In this class, we’ll examine what a life devoted to Jesus Christ looks like. Using Paul’s letter to the Philippians as a basis for our study, we’ll discover the key to following Jesus with joy and examine some of the spiritual disciplines that make it possible. Topics include being confident, content and joyful in Christ as well as a look at the role of Bible study, prayer, stewardship and evangelism.
Teachers: Tom Harr and Frank Barlow.

Fight Right!! Attempts at conflict resolution in marriage can often result in more conflict than resolution. Words spoken in haste or in anger can leave painful wounds and a reluctance to engage again. However, there are practical strategies to help couples navigate and negotiate their differences in a way that is respectful to both. This class will present these biblical and research-based strategies in an applied, step- by-step approach that will facilitate learning and offer hope.
Teachers: Barbara Shaffer and Dave Anderson.

The Gospel According to Jesus: Using John MacArthur’s book, this class will take a walk thru the Gospels to follow Jesus and his ministry. Why was Jesus’ teaching so fresh and new? Who did Jesus claim that he was? What was Jesus’ mission? Jesus never wrote an autobiography. These questions can only be answered Thru the God- inspired Gospel narratives written to provide an account of Jesus’ Life and ministry.
Teacher: Mark Robinson.
