FAITH UNLEASHED is an exciting adventure that connects you to the goals, vision, and passions of Faith Presbyterian Church. Our goal is not new - it has been central to the church since Jesus' great commission, commanding that each believer "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matt 28:19). We seek to equip every believer with the tools, passion, and vision to join God in the unstoppable spread of the Gospel.
For years, Faith Church has been outreach motivated. We host an annual Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, SummerFest Picnic, FallFest Party, Christmas Concerts, Children's Movie Nights, and regularly invite our community to other events and services. But, we know that Jesus' command to share His Good News with everyone is not a desire for the church to simply throw some fun events. These programs are wonderful and are extremely effective ways of introducing people to our church. But, we strive to create a culture where sharing His wonderful news is central to who we are, our relationships, and all of our conversations.
For many, this can be a frightening and daunting task. Together, we will rely on God for our strength and guidance, come together to pray that we are bold in our witness, and continue to train our church family for the task.
SERMON SERIES: To introduce the Proclaim concepts and prepare our hearts for proclaiming the best news the world will ever hear, a Sunday morning sermon series was held Feb - April 2011. Using the curriculum, Proclaim: Joining God In The Unstoppable Spread Of The Gospel, we will explore a Biblical view of evangelism and some specific tools to help us share the Gospel in everyday conversations and interactions with the people in our lives. God does the work in changing hearts and saving souls. But, in His sovereign plan, He has chosen to share His love through relationships...through people...through you and me. This removes the pressure - our job is to proclaim His Good News and then let God perform His miraculous work in the hearts of those He calls. The tools in this course will help give us a Biblical reference, a specific approach, and a comfort level in sharing our faith. Faith Proclaimed is a 7-session course that will be presented to the congregation via Community Groups starting this fall. Join a Community Group today!
When sharing your faith and the love of Jesus with your friends, sometimes they have questions that you can't answer or desire a deeper dive into what it really means to be a Christian. Using the curriculum Christianity Explored, we will host a high-quality, seeker-friendly, community-accessible forum to outline key truths of the Christian faith and address people's burning questions. Faith Explored will kick off in Fall 2011 and include dinner and a topical study one evening a week throughout the course.
