The College and Career ministry seeks to provide young adults with "space" to process God's grace and live out the implications of this grace in community with others. Our burning desire is to know God, know one another, and serve the world with the renewed dignity that comes from Christ. What we're after together is for the story of our lives to intersect more fully with the story of God.

Mid-week Gathering
The purpose of our mid-week gathering is to create community in which young adults - single or married - can explore Christianity or deepen their commitment to following Jesus. Our mid-week gathering meets at the church manse at 214 Rowland Park Boulevard. We meet on Tuesday's at 7:30 PM. After our time of prayer, worship, and biblical reflection, most of us stick around for refreshments and conversation.

Informal Social Gatherings
Besides our mid-week gathering, there are many other ways we do community together. Occasionally, we have an informal time of fellowship and games that takes place after the evening worship service. The location changes as various folks alternate in hosting. Check the calendar dates below for details. We also do weekend retreats on occasion, go to concerts, or find other ways to enjoy community together.

In addition, we frequently get together to watch and discuss movies. The rationale behind doing these film discussions is to look deeply into the movies that impact us and investigate both the statements they make and the influences that make them effective. We discuss what the movies tell us about our world, about us as human beings, and about how we find fulfillment in life. The goal here is to view the stories of our culture through the lens of the biblical story. The location for for these film discussions varies, depending on the host.

Mission
At the heart of the biblical story is a God who is on mission. Therefore, we want to live in mission with him for the sake of others. We do this by serving at local ministries such as Urban Promise or the Sunday Breakfast Mission, or by meeting the needs of those in our own congregation. Living in mission together also means we seek to create an environment where new people are welcomed and accepted into our community. We want everyone to hear the gospel in word and see the gospel in action regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey.
